Weltsalon

Weltsalon

Please, where is the future?

Looking at the immense quantity of information about nature catastrophes, famine and wars which reach us through all different channels, more and more people feel overstrained and resigned. Who decides which information we get and whom can we trust? Isn’t every effort useless and the fate of the world already sealed?

This winter, the guests of the “Weltsalon” will show how we can see things from another perspective. The future is open, nobody can foretell what the world will look like in 50 years.

In 27 days themed “Please, where is the future?” high reputed referees look for changes in day by day life and propose in interaction with the audience constructive suggestions, how we can deal more responsible with our environment. Everybody can get involved to his possibilities by becoming active.

Main focus will be “Water– between fascination and responsibility”, topic of this year world exposition in Zaragoza. One week will be dedicated to genetic engineering “GENesis – rich world, poor human?”

“Weltsalon” deals with questions, which are not only part of global politics but also crucial for the individual. Readings, musical evenings, films, children events and every week a big panel discussion visualize these issues. Guests from politics, science and culture talk about their future visions and inspire us to think ahead.

Admission for most of the events is free.
