BlankWeinek invented the Bavarian chanson, the band confidently asserts. But what is a Bavarian chanson? Anyone who thinks of the French model is wrong. Although there are a few songs on the album “Dahoam” that definitely go in this direction, like the ballad “Aufgwacht” or the dark “Die Nacht”. “We tell stories”, says musical mastermind Andreas Weinek. “That’s what connects us with the chanson.
