New this summer at Tollwood is the Arts and Crafts Village: a place to watch and marvel. Here a blacksmith shapes horseshoes, a potter models clay into objects, a wood turner gives wood a new shape, and a basket maker shows how baskets are made – old handicrafts are alive and well. A fountain in the middle and benches and comfortable chairs invite you to linger and admire the craftsmanship. And if you like, you can take some beautiful pieces home with you – or try your hand at one of the workshops on offer!
