Fair Trade at Tollwood

Two million people earn less then two dollars a day, although working hard. Fairly produced and traded products give people in developing and emerging countries the chance to receive an adequate and worthy wage for their work.

Tollwood’s restaurateurs and exhibitors make their contribution: bananas, rice, tea, coffee, sugar, wine, cacao and chocolate products from developing countries have to be certified organic and fair trade. For many poducts and raw materials in textiles, jewellery and handcrafts there is no official seal yet. In this case Tollwood requests producer declarations, so that manufacturers and small crafts businesses with a long and personal connection to the exhibitors can be supported with a clear conscience.
