Humans 2.0
Symphony of dance in the Grand Chapiteau
With their performance ‘Humans 2.0’, the Australian company Circa brings an impressive symphony of acrobatics, dance, music and light to the Tollwood Winter Festival. The innovative production, created by circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz, represents the circus of the future and explores the challenges of being human. Ten artists appear in a sudden flash of light. For a fleeting moment, they move in perfect harmony before falling into a gentle trance. Towers emerge and disintegrate, bodies jump and are caught, while physical limits are pushed to the extreme. The question posed by this mesmerising performance is: can we ever find perfect balance, or is our way forward to constantly adapt to change? The precise choreography of the bodies, acting in harmony with the music of composer Ori Lichtik and under the lighting of Paul Jackson, creates an intimate and primal circus experience. ‘Humans 2.0’ will captivate audiences every day from December 10 to December 14 at 7:30 pm, with an additional performance on December 14 at 4:30 pm.
