Welfare Brothers

As an acoustic duet, the Welfare Bros have enormous fun reinterpreting the songs of their heroes in their own special way. The songs are from The Band, Johnny Cash, Green Day, Joe Jackson, The Mavericks, Old Crow Medicine Show, Linda Ronstadt, Bruce Springsteen or Hank Williams. That’s quite a range: from foot-stomping rockers to ballads and from protest anthems to thoughtful country songs. Audiences are often amazed at how much energy can be unleashed and how much music can be made with just two guitars and two voices.
