The band itself calls it Honk Rock, this rough, unbridled mix of country, blues, folk and rock. Bavarian and English songs written by singer Lametto, creatively arranged with a selection of unmistakable musical influences like Tom Waits or Seasick Steve as well as traditionals from the American Songbook. The music of the Donkeyhonk Company is not only catchy, but above all it makes you dance. The songs tell of everyday madness, the magic of the moment and the tricky search for meaning. Sometimes funny, sometimes profound. And when the Donkeyhonks get started, there’s no stopping: A driving bass meets playful pickings, clear guitar riffs and stomping beats make the soles of the shoes glow.
