Drone staging

When it gets dark over the Olympiaberg, drones conjure up an impressive spectacle in the night sky. On the opening weekend of the Summer Festival, the flying objects paint pictures in the sky – they tell the story of water, of life. They are images that touch and stir at the same time. The exclusive production will be accompanied musically by Franz Schubert’s “Trout Quintet”, the “Moldau” by Bedřich Smetana and “Also sprach Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss. The picture arch that Tollwood has created for the motto “Water – Pure Life” ranges from the primordial sea to the formation of the continents to the cycle that makes life possible in the first place: water rises from the sea, forms clouds that rain down on the land in thunder and lightning and thus make the earth blossom. From the springs, water flows in streams to the rivers that pour into the oceans of the world.

Valuing and protecting water

But the cycle of life is broken: Man intervenes, cuts down forests, builds factories; uses the water, pumps it out of the ground, plunders the springs as if they were inexhaustible. The consequences have long been felt today – extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, threatening humans, animals and nature: our Earth. The drones draw dark images of drought and flooding in the sky as well as paths to a future worth living. The production formulates a clear message: we humans come from water, we are all water, and without water we are nothing. It is now up to us to appreciate and protect water. Only in this way can the earth blossom again. Because water is life.

DroneDreams drone light shows have a multitude of high-tech LED drones flying in a sophisticated choreography, creating gigantic light images on the biggest screen there is: the night sky. In spectacular displays, synchronised drones create different images and shapes.
