Mahout

Mahout hail from Italy’s secret reggae capital, Pinerolo. Their sound mixes Jamaican reggae with various influences from funk to garage rock to Californian punk ska. They are no longer unknown in their homeland and have also played in the support program of the legendary reggae musician Lee “Scratch” Perry. Formed as a post-grunge band, the Mahout combines singer Emiliano’s passion for roots reggae with the drummer’s rock soul and the bassist’s funk ‘n’ reggae foundation.
