Classical violinist and jazz trumpeter don’t go together? Hip-hop, jazz, pop and world music are not a good combination? Emotional ballads and powerful brass parts contradict each other? Not at all! The Munich band Donnerbalkan – DOBA – skillfully combines all these contrasts to a diversified whole and thus creates a new musical direction: world pop.
