The mini big band, led by Heinz Dauhrer, Butch Kellem, John Brunton, Gary Todd, and Hermann Roth, plays jazz and swing or, as they would call it: hot stuff. Their performance is notable for its dynamic, big-band-style riffs and call-and-response improvisations between the trumpet and trombone. In addition to jazz classics and 1930s songs, the band’s repertoire includes funky and Caribbean rhythms from the 1970s. They also perform interpretations of songs from popular Walt Disney films.
