Influenced early on by the records of his parents and grandparents, Bosnian-born lead singer and songwriter Zlatko Pašalić combines the sounds of the 1960s with influences from the Balkans and the Orient. His melodious songwriting combines poetic lyrics in English and Serbo-Croatian, often in harmonious polyphonies that allow the driving rhythms to shine in a new light. Together with Rüdiger Sinn, Stray Colors is considered “one of the best songwriting teams since Lennon-McCartney” (BR Puls).
