As the sun sets over the Olympic Park, the amphitheater at the Tollwood Summer Festival becomes the new gathering place for Munich’s film fans. On July 2, the Tollwood Summer Cinema will present “Billy Elliot,” a cinematic highlight, in a special festival atmosphere.

Eleven-year-old Billy is fascinated when he realises that a ballet class is taking place in the same building as his boxing club. Encouraged by his ballet teacher, he secretly pursues his passion – thereby defying the expectations of his working-class family during the miners’ strike in the north of England.
