The big New Year’s Eve party at Tollwood: Hello 2026!
On 5 areas with live bands & DJs – music, art, culinary delights and a good mood!
The new year begins at Tollwood – with beats, party and lots of good vibes! On December 31, 2025, the Tollwood Winter Festival will be transformed into an atmospheric dance floor under the stars and in the tents.
Five areas, inspiring live acts, rousing DJs, culinary highlights and illuminating art installations – this is how Tollwood celebrates the turn of the year!
Tickets for 38.50 euros (reduced 33 euros), social ticket 18 euros are available here. All tickets are also valid as MVV tickets. On New Year’s Eve itself, remaining tickets – depending on availability – can only be purchased online as print@home tickets or directly at the Tollwood festival box office on site at the Theresienwiese.
The program
Area 1 – Bazar
Indie, pop, folk and more – that’s what the Bazar has in store on New Year’s Eve: DJ Pascha (19 + 2 hrs.), Falschgeld (19:30 hrs.), Jamaram meets Jahcoustix (22 hrs.) and The Magic Mumble Jumble (0:20 hrs.)celebrate the New Year with Tollwood fans. And fortune teller and tarot card reader Robert Alcazane offers a glimpse into the future.
Area 2 – Hexenkessel
Club27plus (22:30 hrs.) brings a vibrant party and dance atmosphere to the Hexenkessel. The Matthias Heiligensetzer Trio ‘Boogie with Matt!’ (20:30 hrs.) rocks with their Piano-Rock-A-Boogie Show, and DJ Dirk Wagner (19 + 2 hrs.) delights with hits from seven decades.
Area 3 – Mercato-Zelt
Whether indie, reggae, electro, pop, rock or DJ sets – everyone will find the right beat here. The Club Harry Klein sets the mood in the Mercato tent – DJ KAROTTE (21, 23, 0:20 + 2 hrs.) and VJ SicoVaja (19 hrs.) bring electronic sounds and spectacular visuals. And the Lovers Lipsync Battle (22:30 + 1:30 hrs.) enters its second round at Tollwood with the city’s best drag*artists and performing*artists.
Area 4 – Food-Plaza
Organic gastronomy from all over the world awaits in the Food Plaza – perfect for strengthening yourself for the dance floor.
Area 5 – Outside
Outside, stilt art by the Duo Hochformat (19 hrs.) will delight visitors, while illuminated installations will amaze them. And when the New Year comes knocking, the entire Tollwood dances the traditional midnight waltz: simultaneously in all the tents and in the open air.

On New Year’s Eve, remaining tickets can be purchased – depending on availability – at the festival box office on the Theresienwiese (open from 9 am to 2 am), online via the Tollwood webshop, online via München Ticket and at the advance booking office in Gasteig HP8 (open from 10 am to 8 pm).
Please inform yourself about the availability of remaining tickets on the Tollwood homepage, Instagram channel and Facebook page of the Tollwood Festival. There you can also find out whether the event is already sold out.
Children and adolescents under the age of 18 may visit the New Years Eve Party only if accompanied by a legal guardian or a person having parental authority. If a person holding parental authority is entrusted with the care of children or adolescents under the age of 18, the filled out form “Übertragung der Aufsichtspflich” has to be brought to the event. Children under the age of six are not allowed at the event even if accompanied by a legal guardian.
If the exclusion critera above are existent, children/adolescents may not enter the event even if they carry a valid ticket.
No, there are no fireworks by Tollwood. Firecrackers may not be taken onto the festival grounds.
Glass container and cans as well as all container over 0.5l (i.e. plastic bottles, Tetra Paks etc.), bulky objects, pyrothechnical objects, torches, sparklers, weapons, dangerous items and animals are prohibited. There are no fireworks on the festival grounds at midnight. Firecrackers are prohibited on the festival grounds.
The “Market of Ideas” with market and food stalls has already been dismantled by New Years Eve. However, there are some food stalls at the Food Plaza as well as bars with Live-Music inside the tents. The Tollwood Market closes – like any other Christmas Market – on 23rd December, 10 pm.
Please note that bag checks will be carried out before the event and fireworks are not allowed. To speed up admission, we kindly ask that visitors do not bring large bags or rucksacks.
It is not allowed to bring dogs to the New Years Events. If you bring your dog or any other animal, access will be declined.
