John Barden’s songs tell of hard work, homesickness, unfulfilled love and comforting whiskey – sentimental ballads that alternate with rhythmic pieces and give a sensitive picture of Irish life and the musical culture of the Green Island. Together with his son JP Barden, the duo also plays Irish folk classics.
