Roger Rekless

David Mayonga aka Roger Rekless – who should be known to even the last rap fan since his freestyle tour with Samy Deluxe and Tribez., support for Moop Mama or the now legendary “Unplugged Cypher” with Samy Deluxe, Eko Fresh, Chefket, Megaloh (to name just a few), is back after his album and book success with his single “Was Bin Ich Für Dich?”.
Whether as a solo artist, presenter at Splash!, part of Deichkind’s live band, radio host on Bayern 2 and 3, freestyle king, book author or social pedagogue – Rekless has something to say. What he says has a lot to do with what it’s like to experience barriers, to face challenges, to be exposed to adverse circumstances and prejudices.

Rekless is not one to bury his head in the sand. He raises his voice and does what needs to be done – he exposes himself to opinions and people, even writing a book if he has to.

Rekless gains focus when things get dicey. When the pressure is on, when things get uncomfortable and he moves out of his comfort zone. It is known to be calmest in the eye of the storm – and that is where he feels comfortable. So it’s no coincidence that he has also found a home in martial arts. “Martial arts and music are almost the same thing for me. I can express myself while fighting,” he says, wanting to be himself as much as possible.
Rekless loves a challenge.
