With over 390 million views on YouTube, countless headliner slots at all major festivals and their status as one of the most successful German bands in streaming, it’s clear that there’s only one way to go for SDP: up. In the local media landscape Vincent and Dag remain – partly quite consciously – under the radar as much as possible. So the guys, especially considering their overwhelming success, live up to their title as “The best known unknown band in the world”. The band celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2019 together with 17,000 fans and friends in Berlin’s Wuhlheide, which was sold out in just 20 days. A unique independent career for the two Berlin friends who, despite all the impressive successes, are still themselves. “We don’t think from album to album or follow a master plan. For 20 years we’ve just been continuously making music together as friends. That’s it.” Detached from all structures and specifications, the two do what they want, and with a success that is second to none. Their live shows are bursting with energy, sold-out halls and enthusiastic visitors are their thanks. Their current album “Die Unendlichste Geschichte” charted first place in the first week. Vincent and Dag are thus writing another chapter in their grandiose success story, which they will present at the Tollwood Summer Festival in 2022.
