Gudrun Mittermeier & Band

Gudrun Mittermeier, who now releases her music under her own name, has named her album “Mitternach” after the birthplace of her deceased mother, a small village in Lower Bavaria. Back to the front: The way into the future leads consistently into the past, the artistic development is a somersault backwards. Hoam, where the origins lie. “Sometimes you have to get right into the unknown,” explains Mittermeier, “where it’s so bright and dark, where you fly and sink – and where it hurts. With the album I return home – but I’m not who I used to be.”
