Wooden Cloud Martin Steinert

Martin Steinert „wooden cloud – Dare and Do“

This work of art grows – with every step, every signature, every story. Martin Steinert is building a walk-in sculpture made of squared timber at Tollwood: two intertwined spirals form Yin and Yang at the main entrance to the summer festival. For years, the sculptor has been creating ephemeral sculptures in open studios around the world that carry wishes and hopes. In these works, the “wooden cloud – the architecture of wishes”, people formulate their wishes and fears, their thoughts and messages on wooden slats. In the entrance artwork “wooden cloud – courage and making”, which will be created at Wooden Cloud Martin SteinertTollwood, Tollwood visitors will make statements about their personal next courageous step. The artwork thus becomes a chronicle of determination. Together, everyone creates art that can not only be viewed, but also experienced and shaped.

Löwenskulptur

Strong as a lion

Lions symbolize courage and strength. And so this summer, two expansive lions made of wooden slats will greet everyone at the entrance to the Tollwood Summer Festival – as a symbol of the
motto “Courage and action”. Wood sculptor Franz Jäger has given them shape – powerful and inviting at the same time. A whole family of lions was created in workshops with the wood sculptor. Courage is made visible here. At the end of the festival, these works of art will be auctioned off for a good cause.
