Culture at Tollwood

Taking chances and trying new things: This spirit lies at the heart of the Tollwood cultural program. In the summer it consists of theatre productions and performance theatre, concerts with stars from the international rock and jazz scene and performances by local and regional bands and artists. In the theatrical area, Tollwood has become especially known as a presenter of happenings, physical theatre, performance and nouveau cirque. In the music area, the slogan “big stars for small prices” applies, and at the same time on several stages free of charge Tollwood offers representatives of numerous musical genres from the Munich area an opportunity to perform and reach a wider audience. 

In the winter, in addition to what a local newspaper calls “the most beautiful Christmas market in Munich”, within an overall theme Tollwood presents a large en-suite event (opera, variety show, musical) with a multi-course organic meal and coordinated theatre performances and readings by internationally known writers.
